Special Olympics Area 6 is in need of volunteer Kayaking coaches to help sustain our team, the Charleston Chargers! Coaches would lead a group of adults and teens with special needs in the skills related to kayaking, water safety, racing, and navigating a course in a single, or tandem kayak. Meetings are at James Island County Park on Tuesday evenings, and registration with Special Olympics SC is required PRIOR to attending practices. At the end of the season, there is a competition between our kayakers and those from other parts of the state! Please consider joining us!
