KNCB Farmer's Market Volunteer - May 7 (2:30pm - 7pm)

KNCB will be at the North Charleston Farmer's Market at Park Circle on June 20 from 2:30pm - 7:30pm. We need additional volunteers to help with the 2:30pm -7:30pm shift. Volunteers can work for partial shifts or stay for the whole time. Volunteers will be helping with the sell of Milkweed Passion Vine, and other butterfly attracting plants to the people attending the market.
These plants are often hard to find at local nurseries and often-times pricey. We will be selling the plant at a very reduced rate. These plants are pollinators that support the Monarch, Sulfur and Gulf Flittarary and other butterfly species. We hope to increase the numbers of these plants in the community so that these butterflies have plenty of places to lay their eggs and food to eat.
We need volunteers to help us pack the plants into to boxes, talk to visitors, and help us pack up at 7:30pm. This is a fun opportunity as you will have time to go around and look at other vendors at the market. You can meet other volunteers and community members with like interest while doing something good for the environment.
