Seafood and music lovers from the tri-state area eagerly await the Long Island Maritime Museum’s annual Seafood Festival on August 24th and 25th! This two-day event celebrates the regions famous oysters, clams and seafood traditions and brings together locals and visitors alike for a weekend full of hometown flavor and big time fun.

The museum grounds, overlooking the beautiful Great South Bay, will become a walking village that offers something for everyone: Local cuisine, live music, arts and crafts, children’s activities, pirate shows, educational exhibits and more. The event is one of our area’s premier events, drawing thousands of people from all over the east coast to the museum. This year marks the 26th anniversary and promises to be the biggest and best yet. While the main attraction is the largest variety of fresh, local seafood to be found on the south shore, the other draw is the event’s Main Stage, which will include a diverse array of fantastic live music from New York’s top rock, pop and country bands.

As always, we are very excited for our biggest event of the year, but we couldn’t pull it off without your help! We have volunteer shifts available in all locations (East Gate, West Gate, Reception Desk, Volunteer Desk, Raffle Boat, Small Craft Building, Gift Shop, Beer Ticket Tent 1&2) for both dates.

Seafood Fest volunteers will be provided with a complimentary Event Staff t-shirt, lunch, and a parking pass (to get you down close to the action).
