Samaritan House serves Tarrant County’s expanding homeless population, specifically those who suffer from medical, mental and/or physical disabilities.
We have learned very quickly that managing the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis will challenge us in many unanticipated ways. The most urgent challenge currently facing us is providing meals to the 50 men and women of our SRO (Single Room Occupancy) program.
Our volunteers become family to our residents by either bringing homemade meals/dishes or ordering takeout to be served as the evening meal to our 45 residents of the SRO.
These meals can be anything you think of! Our generous volunteers have prepared a variety of meals ranging from sack lunches, sandwiches, casseroles, Taco Tuesdays and much more! The opportunities and options are endless ... our residents are not picky and are lovers of all food.
It is with the continued support of our community and partners during this time, that helps us provide hope and a healthy home to the individuals and families at Samaritan House!
If you would like to sign-up for a date to bring/provide the evening meal (for our 45 residents), then drop-off to Samaritan House, please contact Tasha at treid@samaritanhouse.org.

Description
Samaritan House is a nonprofit organization serving Tarrant County’s expanding homeless population, specifically those who suffer from medical, mental and/or ph ysical disabilities. We provide permanent housing and supportive services for men, women and children.
We believe when you provide shelter for the homeless, create stability for those with medical, mental, and/or physical disabilities and foster a sense of self-sufficiency - it gives residents a greater independence to care for themselves and their families.
Samaritan House depends on the support of volunteers and community-minded organizations to meet the needs of residents.
