ORGANIZATION: City Youth Inc.

City Youth Inc is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization which promotes accessibility of educational and recreational resources to the traditionally underserved populations. We are focused on social mobility and improving the forward progression of our participants through programming and resource development. We achieve this through organization program and collaboratives.

We are looking for individuals with diverse backgrounds to join our Advisory Board at for the 2019 - 2020 Fiscal Year. The Advisory Board will provide guidance to the Board of Directors through their specialized expertise.

In particular, we are looking Advisor who are able to contribute in at minimum three of the five ways listed below;

Name: We will promote your name and affiliation in our marketing materials to include our website online.

Expertise: We understand your time is valuable however your expertise is as well. As such we would like to meet with your twice per year onsite. When necessary a phone call with the CEO may be requested to discuss a specific issue.

Support: Your support is an extension of your commitment to our mission. We would like to have all members support our fund-raising efforts through recruitment, hosting and or attending special events.

Connections: We would like for you to share your connections with the organization as we build our support network. We are certain there are a lot of great individuals and organizations we have not connected with yet. So, let’s collaborate.

Cultivation: We will need you to be an advocate for the improving accessibility of educational and recreational resources within their community and assist in increasing our visibility in the community.

To achieve this every member will want to stay connected to City Youth Inc., our programs and projects.

Do you have at eight (10) years of experience in any of the following areas and are interested in joining our Advisory Board? The first meeting will be September 30 th, 2019. If you have less than (10) years and are interested in our Ambassadors program, we would like to hear from you.

Our mission is to provide underserved and at risk youth with services, equipment, education and resources to increase physical activity, reduce youth risk behaviors, promote health and nutrition awareness, improve academic performance, encourage diversity awareness utlimately preparing them to lead healthier lifestyles.

Description

We will strive to provide a safe environment, with community members serving as the catalyst for our programs. By providing multiple services it enables youth and families with limited resources the opportunity to obtain complete assistance in a single location. These services will provide motivation, confidence, independence, intuition, and analytical skills needed to empower today's youth to transform into healthy adults.
