At Brookdale Hospice, we understand that volunteers are an integral part of end of life care. Our volunteers help ensure that each person’s end of life journey goes as smoothly and supportively as possible.
"Our fingerprints don't fade from the lives we touched."--Judy Blume
Our volunteers are the true embodiment of Brookdale Hospice’s mission of enriching the lives of those we serve with compassion, respect, excellence, and integrity in their final journey in life. Our volunteers are provided with all the training they may need and given the full support of our dedicated Brookdale Hospice Team.
We have volunteer positions open right in our main office in Bloomington for clerical and office work. Our office support volunteer would be working alongside our wonderful office staff with different tasks in an office setting. Duties may include organizing admission paperwork, filing, sending faxes, light cleaning, assisting with mailings, answering phones, stocking supplies, and helping with special events or projects.
Our volunteers commit approximately 2+ hours of their time each week. Our office is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm and this volunteer position would need to be available during that time frame. This position is a great opportunity to get to know the inner workings of a leading hospice company in the Twin Cities. Our Volunteer Coordinator, Dana, looks forward to hearing from you and to start you on your journey in the world of hospice volunteering.
"If you think you're too small to make a difference, try sleeping in a closed room with a mosquito." --African Proverb
