We are seeking a board member that appreciates that we have grown rapidly during our first twelve years and anticipate a continuing expansion of activities and programs, as well as land acquisition. A corporate executive or business entrepreneur who has led an organization through the complexity of growth would be a great asset for our future endeavors.
We are interested in other board members having any skills that may be of benefit to West Place.
In order to assist our financial growth, we also look toward the willingness of our board members to provide an annual monetary donation that they feel is reasonable and appropriate, to the best of their financial ability. You can directly help us maintain a clear path toward our future endeavors. We thank you in advance for your interest in joining this incredible organization.
Please do look at our website. Not only will it show you a great deal about our organization, but you'll learn that our executive director was named a "2017 Rhode Islander of the Year," and she gave a TEDx Talk in 2018, both related to her work with West Place.
West Place provides housing, food and medical for injured or orphaned wild waterfowl, game birds and exotics as well as farm animals and horses that are victims of cruelty or neglect, with both short and long-term care via our large volunteer base. Every year, hundreds of wildlife and dozens of farm animals get a second chance at life. West Place also educates the public regarding humane treatment through our civic speaking engagements, community appearances and informative tours, and offers hands-on training through our immersive internship programs.
Celebrating ten years, West Place is seeking advisory board members to help assist this growing cause through its next important decade of impacting the environment and rescuing abused animals. West Place has opportunites for volunteers, interns, marketing, fundraising, grantwriting, tour guides, board members and more.
