Our organization is seeking Executive Board Members to help fund our ever-growing mission. We have a strong working board, and are now in a position to build an exclusive Executive Board. We are seeking generous supporters and donors who are able and interested in significantly moving our organization forward with funding for capital projects, major repairs and renovations, property acquisitions and beyond.
We seek very special individuals that are able to commit, or network, for $25,000 a year or more. This important board will be recognized prominently on our website and in our newsletters. You and your family will have special access to West Place for visits, animal interactions and more. And of course for those who wish to remain anonymous, your privacy will be respected.
Please do look at our website. Not only will it show you a great deal about our organization, but you'll learn that our executive director was named a "2017 Rhode Islander of the Year," and she gave a TEDx Talk in 2018, both related to her work with West Place.
Our executive director or chairman of our advisory board will be happy to meet with you for a private tour of our sanctuary and discussion of our long-term sustainability plan.

Mission Statement
West Place Animal Sanctuary rescues farm animals from abuse, neglect, and cruelty and provides them with a permanent home and lifelong care. We rehabilitate sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife in Rhode Island and release healthy animals back into their natural habitats. We also operate the lost dog shelter for the towns of Tiverton and Little Compton. Through our humane education programs, West Place educates the public, offers hands-on educational experiences through our immersive student internships, and cultivates a more compassionate community.
Description
Founded in 2007, West Place Animal Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides lifesaving care, love, and a permanent home to farm animals rescued from cases of abuse, neglect, and cruelty. It is a licensed wildlife rehabilitation center that assists sick, injured, and orphaned animals, and releases healthy wildlife back into their natural habitats. It also serves as the lost dog shelter for the towns of Tiverton and Little Compton. West Place has a network of 75+ volunteers, who provide essential animal care 365 days a year, and the organization provides unique hands-on humane education experiences to students to cultivate a more compassionate community.
