The POWER House community center is located directly in Baltimore’s largest public housing community, Perkins Homes. POWER is an acronym for Providing, Opportunities, to Work, Expand, and Rise. Year-round out-of-school time programming provides services in five core areas: Education and Career Development, Character and Civic Development, Health and Life Skills, The Arts and Cultural Enrichment, and Health and Wellness.
This summer, the POWER House is looking for three volunteers to assist with Summer Book Club! Volunteers are needed to read to small groups of 1st grade students.
We are hoping to have volunteers either Mondays or Wednesdays from either 10:30-11:30am or 1:00-2:00pm.
