Visit Hospice patients in their homes or at an assisted living facility.
We are looking for volunteers to help patients and their families who are on hospice. Banner Hospice allows people to live comfortably at home at the end of their life.
Our volunteers offer social visits, respite visits, help with reading, pet therapy visits, assistance with small chores, and more to hospice patients and their families all around the East Valley.
There is no hands-on care required.
A typical assignment is 1-2 hours a visit, once a week.

Description
Hospice is a philosophy of care that provides specialized health care for people nearing the end of their life. If someone has a terminal illness or, has decided not to pursue further curative care, and want to focus on comfort and quality of life, hospice care may be right for them. Banner Hospice vows to support quality of life, honor the wishes of our patients and families, provide symptom management with a focus on dignity, as well as support services for patient and their family.

- A background check, Fingerprint Clearance Card, and Occupational Health Clearance (all managed and paid for by Banner) is required. COVID-19 and Flu Vaccine (during Flu season) required.
