Every day the Upper Saint Anthony Falls Lock and Dam visitor center is open we will be having an open house on the lock wall from 12pm - 2pm Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in September 2019 (volunteer shift is from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.). There is also need later on in the evening from 5pm to 9pm when we are hosting special events on the lock. We could use 1 or 2 extra volunteers for each shift to help make sure staff gets a lunch and to answer visitor questions. We are looking for people who have knowledge of our river, the area around St. Anthony, and how locks work. We can train you in on some of the info, but volunteers should be prepared to talk to be people from all over the world. Parking is free for volunteers at the lock, please sign up on the volunteer calendar on the MPC website. If you'd like to become a regular visitor center volunteer, this is a good way to try it out.
