We're quickly coming up on LLF's Giant Annual Book Sale at Smarts Mill Middle School in Leesburg, and we're looking for volunteers to help us with set-up, and with running the book sale itself (Set-up, June 19-20; Sale, June 21-23). There are many ways to get involved, with opportunities for those volunteers who need a sit-down job, to those who are able to pick up and move boxes of books. Children 12 and older can volunteer with a parent or guardian, 16 and older on their own. Indicate age if under 20, please.
Volunteer jobs include: for setup, setting up tables, moving boxes into place, unpacking and displaying books, and placing signage. For the sale itself, volunteers greet and assist customers, straighten and consolidate books on tables, and tabulate sales.
You can pick a shift that works with your schedule, three hour minimum preferred, but you can work as many hours each day as desired. Volunteers at the sale and setup receive a $5 voucher for every 3 hours of work, up to two per day.
