Join Foothill Unity Center in transforming a plot of land for our new Unity Garden. A community garden with the goal of creating a space of tranquility, learning and nutrition for all. We will be cleaning up the area to create a workable blank canvas from which to work from. Some of the tasks for the day include:
- trimming back shrubs/bushes
- removing weeds from the planter areas
- leveling out some ground patches
- turning hardened soil
- picking up trash and green waste
It will be a laborious day so dress in:
- close-toed shoes
- jeans/work pants
- t-shirt or long-sleeve shirt
- sun protection (hats, sunglasses, sunscreen)
Snacks and water will be provided. And keep an eye out for future Unity Garden opportunities on installing/planting/garden tending!
