We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to volunteer for our overnight summer camp for kids with autism! Experience is not necessary as we provide 2.5 days of training and will teach you everything you need to know before campers arrive. You will be placed in one of our three programs

  • main camp (serves kids with autism age 7-17)
  • siblings (serves neurotypical kids 7-13 who have a sibling with a diagnosis)
  • peers (neurotypical teens who are interested in being friends to those who think differently)

Camp Tall Tree provides a traditional overnight summer camp experience to kids with autism and their siblings. At Camp Tall Tree, our focus is on fun. Campers have an incredible time because the activities are tailored towards their interests. We create opportunities for engaging and motivating social experiences, and we support kids while they try new things. Summer camp can be formative, and we want all kids to experience the benefits of an incredible week with friends.

Description

Camp Tall Tree offers week-long summer camp sessions for kids with unique challenges. We have designed our programs to meet a wide variety of needs because we believe that all kids can benefit from a summer camp experience. We value diversity at Camp Tall Tree, and our staff have a deep-seated respect for kids with different abilities, backgrounds, health needs, and home lives. Summer camp is a place for kids to safely learn, laugh, and play and we want all of our campers to come away from our program with a wonderful new friendships and a greater sense of community.

  • This is an overnight volunteer experience. Counselors stay in cabins with campers and spend the day helping them access various camp activities. If you cannot stay overnight, please contact us & we can make arrangements.
