Making a profound difference in people's lives is what Home Hospice of Georgia volunteers do. Join our team!

Home Hospice of Georgia volunteers are an integral part of the hospice team. They have the opportunity to improve the quality of life for individuals who are facing a terminal illness.

Direct Patient Volunteers enrich the lives of patients and their families by providing emotional support, companionship, and by being an understanding presence. Volunteers can help in various ways such as compassionate listening, reading, listening to music, playing games, doing puzzles, helping patients complete a special project, and much more.

Direct Patient Volunteers must be 18 years of age, be willing to complete our volunteer training, have a valid driver's license, successfully pass a background check, complete a TB Test. Background check and TB Test are completed and paid for by Home Hospice of Georgia.

Direct Patient Volunteer assignments are with patients residing in facilities or private homes close to your home. Volunteers need to be able to visit their patient's a minimum of 2 times every 30 days.

Home Hospice of Georgia serves patients in the following counties: Barrow, Barton, Carroll, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Hall, Henry, Jackson, Newton, Paulding, Rockdale, Spaulding, and Walton.
