Courage League Sports has expanded its reach! We now offer programming for kids and adults with physical, emotional, cognitive or behavioral needs. We offer programming weekly in 4 areas in and around the Des Moines Metro. Thursday evenings we are at Valley Community Center where we give our special participants a safe zone to play the sports they love, try new things without expectations or restrictions and allow them to play at their own speed!
Starting the 2nd Thursday in September we will transition to our Fall Sports!

About Courage League Sports
Location:
4801 Franklin Ave, Des Moines, IA 50310, US
Mission Statement
Courage League Sports is a recreational adaptive sports facility specifically designed for children not able to go "full speed" due to disability, illness, or emotional challenges. We strive to ensure a positive recreational experience for all children and their families. We will encourage participants to have fun while exercising outside of a therapy atmosphere.
Description
Our programs provide an opportunity to play in sports leagues, participate in group classes or play around during open gym nights at everyone’s own skill level. Leagues consist of weekly-themed sports (e.g.basketball, volleyball, flag football, and soccer) incorporating traditional skill work and EXERGAMING technology. Additionally, fitness classes consist of adaptive yoga, pom squad, cycling, kickboxing, tumbling, and core. A place for developing new skills, meeting new friends, building self-confidence, and having fun!
