We are looking for volunteer teachers who can teach music lessons for an instrument every week. We will only give you as many students as you can handle/want, and will make sure that both the student/parent and teacher feel safe. Teachers will be matched up with students based upon instrument, experience, and location. We will not require the teachers to purchase any materials. If you are matched to teach a student, we will have a discussion to ensure that the location, length, and time of the lessons works for you. We are looking for teachers for all instruments because you never know what instrument a child will want to learn. If you have any questions about becoming a volunteer teacher, or general questions about the program please reach out.

About Chords For Community
Location:
308 Bolton Dr, Apt B, Ballwin, MO 63011, US
Mission Statement
To provide families, who cannot afford music lessons, an opportunity for their kids to learn an instrument in exchange for volunteering.
Description
Chords For Community is a new non-profit. The organization will work by having students and volunteer teachers. The volunteer teachers will be matched up with 1 or more students to provide music lessons once a week. Every month, the students will volunteer as "payment" for the lessons. Not only does this allow these kids to have lessons, who otherwise would not have been able to, but it also will hopefully encourage kids to continue to volunteer even after they're done with the program.
