Beep baseball is an adaptive version of baseball developed for the visually impaired. The beep baseball does just as it sounds like it should: it beeps. This allows the players to locate the ball, hit the ball on offense and field the ball on defense. Join the Wichita Falcons as they travel to Tulsa, OK for the 2019 Beep Baseball World Series. Games will be played at the Mohawk Sports Complex, 3500 E 56th St N, Tulsa, OK. Volunteers are needed for the following jobs:
* Sighted spotters. There are one or two sighted spotters positioned in the outfield. When the ball is hit, a spotter will quickly call the number indicating the general direction the ball is traveling.
* Team assistant. They will help be sighted guides at the baseball fields, wash team uniforms throughout the week and other jobs as needed.
Transportation and room will be covered. Rooms at the Aloft Tulsa will be shared with either another volunteer or Wichita Falcons player.
Volunteers will need to buy their own food.
