Community Volunteer Leader

This position partners with the Executive Director of the chapter with the primary goal of delivering the Red Cross mission throughout the community.

Qualification:
Passion for the Red Cross and the community. Demonstrate an interest in promoting volunteerism. Ability to connect the community needs with the Red Cross. Be a creative self-starter who is can multitask and prioritize. Embrace diversity and inclusion. Lead by example and demonstrate Red Cross values.

You will be an advocate for the American Red Cross in your community. Share volunteer needs within social networks and circles of influence. Meeting with community groups and schools about our volunteer opportunities. Help build community relationships and serve as an extension of the Executive Director.

The American Red Cross Central Appalachia Region includes all of West Virginia, plus counties in Ohio, Kentucky, Maryland and Virginia. We serve our communities every day by responding to local disasters, encouraging life-saving blood donations, preparing our communities for emergencies and providing care and comfort to an ill or injured service member or veteran or support to a military family member. 90% of our workforce are volunteers and it is through the time and care of ordinary people that we can do extraordinary things.
