We are currently seeking a dedicated and highly organized supply clerk that is familiar with logistics to man our supply room. The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, organized, has the knowledge of receiving, storing, and distributing supplies. In addition to maintaining inventory and creating welcome bags for new clients. This is a terrific opportunity to gain additional experience in the logistical field and add volunteer hours to your resume.

Must be able to:

  1. Maintains supply inventory; verifies inventory levels by checking shelves, notifies supervisor as to replacement needs.
  2. Receives and stores supplies in storage/stock room.
  3. Sort through and evaluate the need of all incoming donations.
  4. Locates supplies and delivers requested items to authorized departments.
  5. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
  6. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  7. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  8. Highly organized
  9. Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and inventory.
  10. Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

** Due to confidentiality, licensing requires all volunteers be over the age of 18 and able to pass a background check.

Operation SafeHouse, with community support, provides emergency shelter, intervention and outreach services to runaway, homeless, and other youth in crisis. SafeHouse Offers youth positive alternatives to becoming victims of the streets.

Description

We are a shelter for youth at risk, in crisis, or a runaway. SafeHouse of the Desert will provide a critical alternative to young people whose lives are in turmoil. We have a 3 or 4 week program. Our 4 week program is our drug and alcohol program. Our goal is to keep the family unit together.

Age range is from 11 to 17.
