Summer Volunteer at SJPL

Help kids & teens learn, grow, and thrive by volunteering with the San José Public Library this summer. With just 1-3 hours per week, teen and adult volunteers can help support our Summer Learning and Free Summer Food programs.

Summer Learning: June 1 - July 31

At each of our 25 library locations, our Summer Learning Ambassadors play a pivotal role in encouraging youth and families to continue education during the summer months with the Summer Learning program. Description

Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
