CAT AND KITTEN FOSTER PARENTS NEEDED!

PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE POST.

We will contact you only if you provide the information requested at the end of this post.

We are an all volunteer, non-profit cat rescue and adoption organization based in Alexandria.
Our cats live in foster homes while waiting for their new permanent homes and we need to have foster parents on hand when the need arises!

We often have need for different types of foster homes, and/or experience, and we make the best match for our cats or kittens based on those factors. Because our on-hand cat & kitten population is constantly changing, our foster needs also constantly change.

Be sure to answer the questions at the end of this post. Failing to do so will automatically disqualify your inquiry.

If you are accepted as a foster parent, we will hold your hand through fostering and expect you to hold ours until we get to know each other. We can provide all supplies and medical care and, will train you!.

Here's a brief overview:
Kittens under 3 months - possibly stay in their foster home until they are 3 months old. They may need to be bottle fed or may be eating on their own. These kittens are not appropriate for a home with children under 7 or 8.

Kittens over 3 months -
may be ready for their spay or neuter surgery and then may be ready for adoption. These kittens may or may not be appropriate for a home with children under 7 or 8 and will be determined on a case by case basis.

Friendly Adults -
may be adopted at their first event or may be able to stay in a foster home for some weeks.

Adults who need some socialization - these cats are not ready for adoption and if you fit the criteria to foster one of these cats, we will work with you to help these cats be ready for a new home.

Seniors -
may have special needs or special diet
