We have a fabulous event called the Hugh O'Brien Youth (HOBY) leadership seminar, and it's coming up next month! We are in dire need of additional adult facilitators to help the program go as planned. What's a facilitator, you ask? Well, as a facilitator, you'd lead a group of 10-12 student ambassadors (age 15 or 16) through various discussions. These aren't just your average high schoolers; they have been hand-picked by their schools. These are the cream of the crop! You'll help them think critically, recognize their leadership skills, and meet 10-12 promising students who will make you confident in the future of humanity. As a facilitator, you prod the students to share their thoughts, and help facilitate team exercises to get your group to bond. -How do I lead these discussions- what do I say?! Glad you asked! You'll receive a binder full of exercises, discussion questions, and more! If you want to know more, please email us. It's a great opportunity, and it only comes once a year! (And we really, really need your help.)This all sounds fantastic! HOW CAN I SIGN UP ALREADY?? (You must submit for a background check. We run and pay for it) https://reg.hoby.org/HOBYVolunteerApplication/ Hope to see you at this year's HOBY NC East! (Facilitator time commitment: 5 pm Thursday, June 13th - 1:30 pm Sunday, June 16. You would have to take Friday, June 14 off from work. But we're so much fun to hang out with; it's totally worth it!) Please let me know if you're interested, or if you have any questions.
