OASIS

The Older Adult Services and Intervention System (OASIS) program is looking for volunteers to help their community’s elderly population. The program is designed to match a senior citizen with a volunteer with similar characteristics to aide them with light housekeeping duties, transportation, and most importantly companionship. The volunteer is committed to meeting with their client for 1 hour per week to do whatever activity they would like. The only qualifications that are necessary are: communication, bilingual (if possible), committed, and energetic. These senior citizens usually do not have a support system in place and by having a volunteer with them, they receive the joy of friendship and together form a lifelong friend.

If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions please feel free to contact me directly.
