Seeking volunteers/interns from across disciplines/majors and expertise area to help with business/nonprofit operations for a new nonprofit organization focused on data literacy and data science education and programming for under served communities. All of our work is done remotely due to COVID so we can work with your schedule to provide you the support you need to be successful and still expand your skill set and professional knowledge during this difficult time. Everyone who works with our organization will need to have a basic understanding of project management to take on projects that align with our needed areas/the skill areas you are most interested in working on/have talent in. Therefore we will ensure you work on projects in the area(s) you are most interested in learning more about. We are a data nonprofit but we are a business so we need help across all areas of our business, including those not dealing with data. Some particularly high demand areas we are currently looking for further support in are:

  • Automation/RPA of business process
  • Strategic/Business Planning
  • Leadership/Management
  • Project Management
  • Research
  • Visual Content Development (videos and graphic design)
  • Web Development
  • Social Media Management/Content Creation
  • Marketing
  • Communication
  • Finance
  • UX Designers
  • Research
  • Grant Writing and Management
  • Business Consulting
  • Copy editing/editors
However, this list is by no means inclusive of everything we currently need support with so if you are interested in helping us out beyond this skill set please let us know. We are always accepting new volunteers/interns. Thank you for considering working with our organization. We are very flexible, so whether you are seeking something long or short term, we hope you will consider giving your time to a worthy cause like ours. Please complete the internship/volunteer intake form found here as a first step to being considered: https://forms.gle/gZhcfj5k9hA2x4C76 About DataReady DFW

The mission of DataReady is to help grow data and data science knowledge among DFW area residents, especially minorities, women, and low income individuals. We work with individuals of all ages including K-12 and adults through both long term hands on project based training as well as individual events. We aim to teach area residents’ all about data, including data science and data literacy, and provide skills to high school students and adults that are potentially immediately transferable to salaried careers upon program completion. By providing K-12 students and other DFW residents job ready skills we hope to help combat the growing student loan debt epidemic among United States residents and aid in breaking the cycle of poverty in the underrepresented minority, female, and low-income communities within areas of the DFW. Additionally, the Data Science skill set is applicable to a seemingly endless variety of employment avenues. This allows the students we work with to gain a valuable skill set that will set them apart within the current and future automation driven workforce.
