Sips & Giggles (formerly known as Wild Crush & Summer Sip) is Columbus’ premiere wine and beer tasting event and this year we'll have a comedy show! Guests enjoy a robust wine tasting for both wine connoisseurs and casual wine drinkers alike and sample specialty craft beers from some of Columbus’ finest brewers and delicious food from Eddie Merlot's! Guests will finish off the evening with laughter as our comedians entertain them! It's a fun night for all!

Here's a little bit about us- Founded in 1955, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is the world's leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis. The Foundation was started by parents desperate to save their children’s lives. Their relentless and impassioned determination to prolong life has resulted in tremendous strides over the past 60 years in accelerating innovative research and drug development, as well as advancing care and advocacy. Virtually every approved cystic fibrosis drug therapy available now was made possible because of the Foundation and its supporters. Still, we believe no one should have to die at a young age. We will not rest until we have a cure for all people living with CF.

Now that you know us a little better, allow me to give you a brief overview of our Sips & Giggles event-

Join us on Friday, November 8th at the Hilton Polaris. The volunteer opportunities for are plentiful! You will receive a brief training before the event for each of these tasks. We need people to help in the following areas-

-Set Up- people to arrive a little early and help us set up the silent auction items, VIP section, restaurant tree/wine pull area, and the registration area.

-Registration- (this is done electronically so ideally we'll want people who are comfortable on a computer doing this task)

- Silent Auction Floaters- somebody to monitor the silent auction area and make sure the displays still look nice as well as help out anyone who needs assistance with our mobile bidding system.

-VIP Entrance Monitor- somebody to monitor the VIP section of the event and make sure only those with the VIP tickets are granted admission

-Wine Pull/Restaurant Tree- the wine pull is an exciting aspect to this event where we have an assortment of different wines all wrapped up so the guests can't see what they are. Each bottle they pull costs the same amount and there's a chance they'll get bottles of wine that are a higher price than what they get them for. They have to pick the bottles at random and we need somebody to monitor this table so we don't have anyone peak at what the wine is or pull them off without paying for their chance. The restaurant tree works like the wine pull, but instead of wine bottles they're wrapped up restaurant gift cards hanging off a tree for the guests to pull from. These tables are always exciting because the volunteers get to be a part of the mystery and excitement in finding out what the guests gets!

-Bid for a Cure Volunteers- at one point in the evening, we do a Bid for a Cure. Volunteers assigned to this will have blank bid sheets and pens and will go to everyone who raises their hand that they want to bid and give them a blank bid sheet to fill out, collect the filled out sheet, and take it to the registration area once done.

-Tear Down Volunteers- at the end of the event, we'll need volunteers to help us pack up anything that we have left and help us load up the staff members cars.

Dress code is a relaxed look. Come help out a great cause on an evening of wine tasting, comedians, great company, and so much more! We would love to have you there!
