Teaching underprivileged children how to manage money to avoid the pitfalls of becoming homeless and start planning to achieve their future goals. We need knowledgeable, competent volunteers with a desire to educate and motivate children by providing them with useful information and tools they can use in their daily life. Due to COVID-19, classes and all interactions are being performed via Zoom.

Mission Statement
The mission of Cascade UMC Outreach, Collaborative & Homeless Ministry is to provide services to those in need within the Cascade community. Our goal is to teach and educate underserved students how to save and prepare for their educational goals.
Description
The Financial Literacy Program has been in existence for 3 years. Each year we expand our program to add new Elementary School students.
The Cascade UMC Outreach, Collaborative & Homeless Ministry provides services to the community by feeding 800 homeless men, women and children every month at Peachtree & Pine Shelter. In addition, annually we participate in the United Methodist Church "Change The World" International Project by painting and improving the living and administrative space of the Homeless Shelter and donating seating for the residents.
The Cascade Collaborative serves the spirit, lives and minds of families in need, including homeless familie by providing clothing via our Clothes Closet; and the Summer Books & Feed Program under "Smart Lunch Smart Kids" initiative By providing free books and lunches during the summer to children in the apt. complexes who normally receive free lunches during the school year.
