Want to take your knowledge to the next level? Experienced trainers teach you the skills you need to efficiently and safely maneuver canoe in flat water. The classes follow the American Canoe Association curriculum. Flat water beginner class good for someone new to canoeing or wanting to add finesse to their basic skills. Friends of the River will help provide you with the skills and knowledge to help protect the rivers you care about. This canoe fundamentals course will set you up for both future canoe outings as well as future volunteer opportunities with Friends of the River. Upon completion of the Canoe fundamentals course we may invite you to take our Basic River Canoeing course.This is a great way to get connected with Friends of the River and our volunteer program.
The course is two days long.
