Do you have a special skill or talent that you would like to share? Whether teaching a class, providing a service, or performing for our clients, we welcome groups and individuals eager to showcase their passions. Examples include teaching chair yoga, playing a musical instrument, teaching a cooking class, art therapy, and many more! We now have virtual opportunities via Zoom.

Our adult day program is open Monday through Friday from 7:30am- 6:00pm.

Mission Statement

Hearts & Minds Activity Center is dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related conditions by providing safe, nurturing activities, intergenerational services, and a rich network of support.

Description

Founded in 1984, Hearts & Minds Activity Center emerged as the first large capacity dementia-specific adult day program in the country. Since its inception, Hearts & Minds has provided services to over 6,000 individuals living with dementia and their families. Our adult day program offers the following:

  • Over 60 weekly hours of caregiver relief

  • Daily intergenerational activities

  • Variety of activities tailored to individual’s impairment level

  • Active peer and multigenerational socialization

  • Secure outdoor space designed for individuals with dementia

  • Shower, podiatry, and haircut services

  • Ongoing community education and support

  • Respite services offered six days per week, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
