Ambercare invites you to bring your warmth and presence to a patient on hospice. You will make a difference in simple ways of companionship, running errands, reading aloud or simply sitting and listening to their live stories. If you are a veteran we also have a great "We Honor Veteran" program that you can participate in with a case by case basis and on your availability. We are flexible from the start by meeting you for a short introduction for coffee or tea, to the training and getting you established. Please come and join our skilled and compassionate team of caregivers and become a part of the an amazing volunteer team!

**During the Coronavirus pandemic, we are still accepting volunteers, though volunteers are not seeing patients one on one, there are various ways volunteers are offering support.
- Tuck in calls
- Phone calls to patients for over the phone companionship
- Sending weekly cards to patients and families
These are just a few options as we are looking everyday to find ways for volunteers to connect to our patients and families.
