Hands on Smiles is an 8-week oral health education program for people with intellectual disabilities led by dental assistants, dental hygienists or DDSs or DMDs. Where possible, prior to the start of the program, students will assist in a Special Olympics Florida Special Smiles screening. Students may assist in identifying referral
sites to ensure athletes receive appropriate follow-up care after the screenings.

This program will be taught once a week for 8 weeks at an assigned adult day training center.
