Medi Home Health & Hospice is looking for military volunteers (active duty or veteran) to visit with our veteran patients and participate in veteran pinning ceremonies.
The purpose of the pinning ceremonies are to publicly acknowledge the military service and sacrifices made by the veteran and his/her family.
The ceremony gives an opportunity for each veteran to share part of his or her story. By doing so, a sense of meaning and purpose can be gained by the veteran.

VOLUNTEERS - THE HEART OF THE HOSPICE TEAM!What is the hospice patient care volunteer’s role? We depend on our hospice volunteers to assist in providing support and care to our patients and their families during this time in their life. Our volunteers offer support, companionship and practical care to our patients. Whether it’s running errands, sitting with a patient to provide relief for the care giver, reading to a patient, helping a patient write in his/her journal or providing the power of presence.
