If you have a heart for working directly with women in their time of crisis than this role might be made just for you. Most of our Peer Advocates volunteer once a week for a five hour shift in the afternoon. This 100% pro-life volunteer will shadow our with more seasoned advocates while they are provided with training on:
- communicating caring
- client community resources
- pregnancy symptoms
- fertility information
- birth control types
- sexually transmitted disease information
- fetal development
- abortion risks/procedures
About 2 months of on the job training will be provided and a one year volunteer commitment is required. Respond to let us know of your interest. We will contact you to schedule onboarding after our selection process which includes: tour, application, interview, references & orientation

Family Life Services of Washtenaw County is a non-profit interdenominational Christian outreach organized to empower women and men to make godly choices regarding sexuality and family life and to bring healing to those hurt by abortion.
Description
Family Life Services of Washtenaw County offers: free pregnancy tests and free ultrasounds to mothers who may be expecting, options counseling for unplanned pregnancies, parenting classes for moms and dads, assistance signing up for WIC and Medicaid Mom's Insurance, free baby items for newborns and children up to age 6, larger items (i.e. strollers, pack n' plays, swings, high chairs, etc.) for expectant mothers, an abortion recovery program, a small food pantry, and referrals to outside agencies for housing, free and low-cost clothing and household items, food pantries, and paternity testing.
