Seeking volunteers (ages 14-40) to speak at upcoming meetings at FIU. The meeting is for an organization on campus for victims of bullying and hazing, as well as those who advocate. There will be a

Volunteers are simply being asked to speak on any issues they have faced while in middle school, high school, college, etc., how they overcame these occurrences, changes they would like to see made, etc.

The meetings will be one hour and volunteer would only have to speak for as long as they feel comfortable (2-5 minutes)

Food and beverages will be provided.

Our mission is to work continuously to both empower and inspire youth while providing an immediate and lasting change in their lives.

Description

The Organization is exclusively for educational and charitable purposes and our mission is to provide comprehensive programs to address the things that will help children who are at risk and in need of permanent connections due to being in foster care. The activities of the Organization include the provision of counseling services and goods to children in need. Counseling services include mentoring children in the foster care system. We also provide school supplies, school uniforms, clothing, hygienic products food and toys during the holidays. To ensure the children in the foster care system are prepared for school, the Organization will assemble backpacks with the necessary school supplies.
