Volunteer manager for our Adoptable Cat Habitat inside Conroe Petco. This volunteer would be responsible for the following:
Keeping supplies stocked in the cleaning cart and storage bins needed by the volunteers to take care of the cats staying in the Habitat.
Changing out the themed covers and blankets during the year. (Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall and Holidays)
Sending out an email or text to volunteers to keep them updated on new cats being put in the Habitat or any changes to procedure. Letting them know when cats have been adopted. Sending out updated volunteer and subs contact list so volunteers know who to email or call if they need to find a sub or trade days with someone if they can not make their assigned day.
Picking up the habitat laundry once a week to clean and return it.
Provide orientation and training for new Habitat volunteers.

SPCA PETS SNAP of Montgomery County believes passionately in a community where animals are valued, treated with respect and kindness and provided with a secure and loving quality of life. We are a 501(c) 3 non-profit all volunteer based organization that serves the citizens and animals of Montgomery County. To accomplish our mission we will... Rescue and rehabilitate homeless animals providing a save haven for the animals until a suitable adoptive home is found or until they are reunited with their owner thourgh our "Save More Lives" program. Through our "Humane Educationa and Public Awareness" program further the cause of responsible animal ownership, the great need to reduce the pet population by spaying or neutering their pets and encourage a stronger bond between people and their pets. Provide a limited number of low-cost spay/neuter services for the people unable to afford to spay or neuter their pets otherwise through our "Last Litter" program.
Description
We are the SPCA PETS SNAP of Montgomery County. We are a volunteer based, pet rescue and rehabilitation organization providing a safe haven for neglected, abused, and abandoned animals. We are a no-kill organization, adopting out healthy, friendly animal companions. Because we are a no kill organization, and we don't have our own shelter, all of our pets are kept in foster care homes. By keeping our pets in foster homes, and remaining a volunteer based org., we have no building overhead or payroll costs so all of the money brought in by adoptions or donations is put directly back into the care of our pets. Unfortunately, the majority of domestic animals picked up by animal control organization are euthanized due to nothing more than overpopulation. There is no logical reason for an overpopulation problem, there are many free and low cost spay/neuter clinics, yet Montgomery County euthanizes approx 2000 animals every month. This is a tragedy and can be rectified easily if people would learn and commit to be responsible owners. We are here to help and to educate the public on proper care and treatment of your pet. These pets deserve the chance for a good life. Please help us help them. Spay or neuter your pet.
