The Sacramento Fine Arts Center is searching for volunteers to staff our "Fine Art & Other Mysteries" Camp for kids this summer. The camp runs for six weeks M-F, 9:00am - 1:00pm from June 17th through August 2nd, with the week of July 4th off. Volunteers would assist instructors in implementing their lesson plans, help the kids with their projects, and make sure that everything runs smoothly! Campers will be exploring a wide range of artistic expressions, including screen printing and performing arts, so volunteers with all kinds of creative experience are welcome and appreciated.

Description

Established April, 1986
The Sacramento Fine Arts Center (SFAC) is a California nonprofit corporation, authorized under IRC sections 501C3, whose mission is to contribute to the cultural life of our community. Established jointly by independent art clubs, it is dedicated to the creation and presentation of the visual arts. The Center is entirely self-supporting and operated by volunteers. Its operation is made possible by memberships, contributions, sales and rentals of art work, and numerous community fund-raisers.

As an artist or art lover, you will meet and make friends with many other artists who have similar goals and will have the opportunity to expand your artistic talents. Volunteer opportunities will increase your knowledge about art and make you part of a network of hundreds of artists. Art Gallery docent positions are available. There are numerous opportunities to work as a team organizing exhibits and fundraising events.
