Volunteer Services helps low-income seniors and adults with disabilities stay in their homes by connecting them with caring people in our community who are able to assist them. Some examples of what we do include transportation, errands, light housekeeping, yard care, access to socialization, and more. We also have opportunities for groups of any size who would like to work together. We encourage volunteers of all ages so families or youth groups can experience volunteering together with their adult leader. Volunteer Services coordinators provide on-going support and encouragement and are dedicated to helping our volunteers find the people and projects that will provide rewarding experiences for everyone involved. Description
Volunteer Services, a program of CatholicCharities, provides basic in-home assistance to low-income elders and adults with disabilities to help them continue living independently, safely, and with dignity in the comfort of their own homes. The generosity of our volunteers brings opportunities and hope to individuals who are often isolated and in need of kindness and support. We offer both individual and group opportunities to provide transportation, light housekeeping, yard care and more. All volunteers receive training, optional mileage reimbursement, liability and ongoing support to make sure the volunteer experience is rewarding for all. Catholic Charities is a state contracted 501-C3 and provides services to all who qualify regardless of race, religion or creed.
