Help individuals and families learn about how they can become homeowners at our annual Home Buyer Fair. The fair will have kids' activities, workshops, vendor booths, and a photo booth. Volunteers can serve a 2 or 4 hours shift between 9am-1pm helping with registration, workshops, photobooth, food service, and greeting guests.

Volunteers who serve a 4-hour shift will receive a free lunch from Bill Millers BBQ.

Mission Statement

Established by community volunteers from the central Texas region in 1990, BCL of Texas is a not-for-profit community development corporation, which furthers economic development by promoting and assisting in the growth of small businesses in Texas. In addition to providing business with counseling and technical assistance, BCL of Texas originates, underwrites, processes, closes and services business loans to healthy, growing businesses. Its mission is to create long-term jobs through business development and ensure that local communities benefit by an increased sales and property tax base for the long term. We also provide homebuyer education programs, assists first-time homebuyers with the purchase of their first home and helps customers remain responsible and successful homebuyers.

What We Do
BCL is a leader in business expansion capital and community development. Our key centers of excellence include:
· HomeOwnership: down payment assistance, counseling, and classes to help individuals and families become homeowners and care for their homes.
· Entrepreneurship: Business classes and personalized coaching to help entrepreneurs launch and grow their businesses
· Lending: Providing individual, commercial, and home loans to build strong communities across Texas
· Community Development: Working with municipal partners to create affordable housing, manage loan funds, and promote economic development
