READ WRITE DISCOVER (RWD) is searching for motivated and responsible high school students to volunteer and lead as Tutors for children in grades K-8th during Summer 2019! This volunteer opportunity will take place at the Biblioteca Latinoamericana Branch, 921 S. First St., San José, CA 95110 on Saturdays, 10:30am -12:30pm from June 22nd through August 17th.
This is a great opportunity for teens looking to complete community service hours, and gain leadership skills. In addition, this would be an excellent opportunity for teens to add this experience to their resume and college applications.

Description
Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
