Join us as we work to ensure healthy communities and climate justice through education and advocacy. Volunteers can choose from the following activities:
-Reaching out to faith communities about action opportunities around climate change and climate justice
-Collecting and distributing petitions
-Educating the public on climate change issues and ways to help
-Meeting with and reaching out to decision-makers about climate change
-Encouraging social media posts
-Storytelling
-Writing to newspapers including op-eds and letters to the editor
-Talking to people of different faiths about your commitment to climate action
-Planning and participating in events such as, workshops, film screenings, interfaith dialogues, lobby visits, etc.
-Collaborating and partnering with other organizations to spread awareness of climate change

Virginia Interfaith Power & Light (VAIPL) is dedicated to bringing together all faith communities to mobilize a faith based response to climate change and environmental justice. Our work focuses on providing communities with the resources and tools that they need to act on climate change as well as encouraging faith communities to speak out for climate justice.
