BRITE is seeking young people ages 12-25 in Ventura County for advocacy and action. We are working to reduce alcohol and drug abuse, tobacco use, bullying and suicide, and to promote positive social change, LGBTQ+ advocacy, healthy coping skills, and mental health and wellness. Options for activities include outreach through social media, filming Tiktoks related to advocacy and prevention, online presentations, webinar and online group participation, video production (behind or in front of the camera), writing, or artwork. Get involved and become an advocate for your peers and the people in your community! All hours count towards Community Service or school credit.
We are still looking for volunteers during quarantine! We have many opportunities available that you can participate in from home. Email info@briteyouth.org for more information!

Mission Statement
BRITE is a youth development project that promotes social change to reduce underage and binge drinking, drug abuse, impaired or distracted driving, bullying, suicide, LGBTQ+ advocacy, healthy coping skills and mental health and well-being among 12 - 25 year olds in Ventura County using improvisation and interactive performance/workshops with engaging discussion, exploration of issues, and the development of personal and community solutions to these problems.
Description
BRITE offers engaging workshops and interactive performances throughout Ventura County to promote community change regarding prevention of impaired driving, substance abuse, underage and binge drinking and mental health issues.
