New Door Ventures prepares these young people (ages 16-24) for success in work and in life through paid employment opportunities, educational support, job readiness workshops, and personalized case management in our three-month program. We are looking for community professionals like you to participate in our volunteer-powered, skill-building workshops.

Educate and inspire young people by offering your feedback and support in a Mock Interview!Volunteers will have the chance to conduct one on one or group mock interviews with youth. Your constructive feedback and personal care are critical in helping them successfully learn how to interview for a job.

No need to prepare anything - just bring your energy and willingness to help a young person!

Our two-hour Mock Interview Workshops can deeply impact a young person. You can help improve their professional skills, confidence, and knowledge of the workforce. Gain experience educating youth in your community while working for a cause.

We'd love to have your help!

About New Door Ventures

3221 20th Street, San Francisco, CA 94110, US

Mission Statement

New Door Ventures prepares disconnected youth for work and life. We provide skill-building, individual support and jobs that enable our youth to discover and achieve their potential. Our work is integral to their successful transition to healthy, sustainable adulthood. We aim to transform individuals who will in turn transform their communities.

San Francisco has 8,000 16-24 year-olds who are disconnected from employment, education, and social supports. Without intervention, they are likely to remain disconnected and and on public aid. We provide on-the-job training in two market-leading social enterprises and 30+ partner businesses, job readiness workshops, on-site education programs, and supportive relationships with case managers and mentors from the community. Our program works: in 2014, 92% of our graduates were connected to school or employment six months after program completion.
