Girls Incorporated of Greater Los Angeles provides many exciting volunteer & intern opportunities throughout the
year. Please read over the descriptions of each position you may be interested in to determine the best fit for you.
The first step in becoming a Girls Inc. direct service volunteer/intern is to R.S.V.P. to an upcoming "Girls Inc. 101"
orientation. At the orientation you will receive a tour of your Girls Inc. school site, information about Girls Inc. as an
organization, the programs we offer, the girls we serve, and direct service volunteer/internship expectations and
requirements. You will also receive a volunteer application and paperwork for completing the Live Scan background
check. Once all of the paperwork is returned, each volunteer/intern will receive a start date and their volunteer
schedule. Please email info@girlsincla.org for information on orientation dates.
There are a variety of ways to participate as a volunteer, including:
▪ Becoming a Homework Helper and Academic Tutor.
▪ Assisting with National Girls Inc. programs and curriculum.
▪ Facilitating a sports or physical activity program.
▪ Coordinating a music, art, dance, or drama activity.
▪ Organizing specialty workshops for girls.
▪ Be a guest speaker and share your expertise with our teen girls.
We have opportunities for corporate and community members to volunteer, as well as internship opportunities for
high school, college, and graduate school students.
