We are gearing up for our summer projects here at JA! Our Kit Rebuild Project runs from June 10 th - June 22st and we need a lot of volunteers to assist us!
More detailed information on the project is below along with available volunteer dates.
What is kit rebuild?
Each year, Junior Achievement volunteers use program kits to teach our valuable work readiness and financial literacy lessons to over 80,000 students. Each kit is built for 30+ students, but some of the classes will have fewer students. In May, we collect these used program kits so that we can recycle the unused materials to build new kits. This project requires a lot of volunteer hours to execute but it saves JA about $20,000 per year. We also donate some of the leftover supplies to our partner schools and organizations. Volunteers on any of these dates may be sorting, collating, printing or bundling materials. In addition, they may be auditing the work of other volunteers to ensure Junior Achievement’s quality standards are met.
Who can help?
Volunteers must be 15 years or older and volunteers under the age of 16 should be accompanied by 1 adult per minor to the volunteer activity.
When can I be there?
On each date, two shifts are available, shifts are from 9:00am-12:00pm or 1:30pm - 4:30pm. To sign up for a volunteer shift, email me with the date and shift you’d like to attend and your name. There is a maximum of 15 volunteers per shift and shifts will be filled on a first come first serve basis. If you are registering a group, please provide all the group member names, email addresses, and indicate the ages of any volunteers under 18. Casual attire is permitted, closed-toe shoes are recommended.

Mission Statement
Junior Achievement: Empowering young people to own their economic success.
Description
Did you know that the majority of Arizona CEOs believe employees lack critical skills that are needed to succeed in the workplace? More than half of adults under 30 do not keep a personal budget, their average debt is over $45,000, and 12% of them don’t even have a job.
It’s our responsibility to empower future generations - to equip them with the skills and knowledge to be successful and pursue their dreams. These are our kids, grandchildren, our future colleagues, and community leaders. The success of our economy depends on their preparedness.
With the support of thousands of education, business, and volunteer partners, we are giving kids the tools to succeed. Our volunteer mentors from the community teach students about the importance of money management, workforce readiness, and entrepreneurial thinking. Arming today’s youth with this critical education will result in less financial instability and debt, a better-trained workforce, a more robust economy, and healthier families.
