HICAP (Health Insurance Counseling Advocacy Program) is part of the national network of State Health Insurance Assistance Programs (SHIP) and is the most dependable source of FREE, unbiased, accurate, and up-to-date Medicare-related information for Southern California residents. HICAP is a program of the Council on Aging - Southern California, which has been a trusted nonprofit since 1973.

The HICAP Inland Empire office is currently looking for volunteers to become Registered Medicare Counselors through the California Department of Aging.

Our Operations Department are currently looking for volunteers that can provide Medicare information over the phone or provide counseling at site. No prior call center or Medicare knowledge is required. We strongly encourage people who are bilingual in both English and Spanish to apply. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Volunteer shifts in the Call Center can be from 9 AM - 12 PM or 1 PM - 4 PM.
