Guthrie Green is excited to announce its second year of "Hip Hop 918: Kickin’ It Old School"!
This event will take place Saturday, May 25th from 7pm - 10pm. The star-studded lineup include MC LYTE, Slick Rick The Ruler, Roxanne Shante, and special guest emcee, Big Daddy Kane.
Opening the show will be Tulsa’s own up-and-coming hip hop artist, Steph Simon, performing songs from his new album, "Born on Black Wall Street".
Guthrie Green’s dynamic and diverse programming along with its signature events, such as Hip Hop 918, Tulsa’s Soul Festival, and Blue Whale Comedy Festival, provide the community with top-tier experiences every year!
Volunteer Dress Code:
- Green volunteer shirt (provided)
- Khakis or jeans
- Tennis Shoes
Volunteer Shift Descriptions:
- Park Quality - Assist with park clean-up. Pick up trash and monitor trashcan levels. Ensure that guests are not sitting in any undesignated areas.
- Guest Services - Help guests find seating arrangements and direct guests to exits at the end of the show. Assist with answering guest questions. Ensure that guests are not sitting in any undesignated areas. Help guests find the restrooms and food trucks.
- Hospitality - Assist with beverage and food set-up/tear-down for hospitality rooms. Help put out any necessary décor. Help answer any guest questions. (Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism)
- Merchandise - Assist with merchandise booth set-up/tear-down. Help merchandise team with point of sale for t-shirts and other items. Assist with cash reconciliation.
