Kitten Foster Families Wanted!

MICHIGAN HUMANE SOCIETY

Foster dog

We refer to spring and summer as KITTEN SEASON! And Kitten Season is certainly upon us. We are looking for new foster families to join our program and help raise young kittens - from orphaned newborns to spunky 7-week-olds that just need to gain some weight.

In joining our program, you have the option to complete training to take care of neonatal kittens (unweaned kittens without their mom), foster nursing moms and kittens, or take in a few older kittens that need some more time before they're ready to be adopted. Fostering kittens is an incredibly fun and rewarding volunteer project that is perfect for families with children, seniors, and everyone in between.

We ask that foster parents make a commitment of fostering at least one animal per six months (this does not mean the animal is in your home for six months) and once your foster animal has been cleared by our shelter veterinarian, you may return them to us and we will find their forever home! By saving you the time and effort of finding an adopter, you can open up your home for the next animal in need.

Let us know if this opportunity is right for you!
