Ivy Hill Therapeutic Equestrian Center is looking for volunteer groups to come in for a single day to help improve our outdoor sensory trail and sensory trail stations for the riders in our program to enjoy and to enhance the therapeutic experience we provide our riders with. We are looking for groups to come in for a day and help with assembling and installing our sensory trail stations, laying chippings and mulch to outline the trail, weed, plant flowers and bushes, paint/decorate some of the stations. We would recommend groups of at least 5 people but are hoping to get large groups to dedicate a day to help. So if your company or business is looking for ways to get involved in the community or has a dedicated "Day of Service," we would love for you to consider getting a group together to help us make this trail and enjoyable and engaging experience for our therapeutic riders.

What do we offer?
We offer customized horsemanship and therapeutic horseback riding instruction, as well as Hippotherapy (physical therapy utilizing the movement of the horse) to individuals of all ages with cognitive, emotional or physical challenges.
Why are therapeutic riding and hippotherapy benificial?
The interaction between humans and horses has recognizable therapeutic benefits. Many of our riders are referred to Ivy Hill from educators and medical professionals with the goal of achieving specific physical, emotional and cognitive accomplishments. Our specialized programs are designed for the needs of each rider and can facilitate a variety of positive achievements in areas such as physical, cognitive, and emotional.
