Did you know that Greater Charlotte SPCA has cats available for adoption? While we are looking for some cat fosters, most of our cats are located in one of two locations: PetSmart Matthews or PetSmart Cotswald in the Cat Room. The program with PetSmart has been a great partnership and we have helped hundreds of cats get adopted since we started the program in 2018.
However, the only reason this program has been successful is that we have volunteers who come to the centers and help with cats two times a day. During these sessions, volunteers help clean the cat center and play and interact with cats. The center has kittens all the way up to seniors. But don't worry, only cats that thrive in this environment are kept that the center, we also have cat fosters for those that need more attention or just don't like groups (if interested in fostering let us know).
If you would like to help out at either PetSmart location please let us know! We will send you to the Cat Coordinator who will help you get set up and trained so you can start ASAP!
This is also a great family event, children are allowed to help play and clean in the center if under 16 as long as they are with an adult.
Thank you for considering The Greater Charlotte SPCA
