ORGANIZATION: Therapeus

The Volunteer Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for managing CharlotteO Ministries’ (COM’s) relationship with all volunteers, and representing the Volunteer Program at CharlotteO Ministries’ and the greater Colorado Communities.

This person ensures that all volunteers are successfully brought on board, are well trained and well oriented in their relationships with COM; volunteers are appreciated and feel themselves to be an integral part of COM’s Organization and Community Projects. This role also ensures that volunteers are informed about, and aware of, the deeper intention of COM’s work to foster a vibrant relationship between people, and the communities that we serve.

Responsibilities

  • Host monthly volunteer orientations
  • Conduct interviews, onboarding and trainings for new volunteers
  • Orient all volunteers to their respective positions, youth and adults
  • Recruit, schedule and maintain volunteer attendance for COM’s activities and events
  • Provide reports from the database
  • Engage with volunteers via phone, email and in person regarding availability, scheduling, and attendance and other items as needed
  • Ensure that volunteers are recognized and thanked appropriately for their contributions though volunteer team protocols
  • Help design and coordinate volunteer appreciation events and activities.
  • Work with in-house graphic designer to design and distribute outreach information and literature to the community about volunteer opportunities with COM
  • Perform outreach activities in the local community to recruit new volunteers as listed in the Volunteer Team Outreach Plan
  • Attend outreach events as necessary
  • Provide back up support to other members of the Volunteer Team

Qualifications:

  • A commitment to COM Operating Principles
  • Proficient with computers, MS Office, and databases
  • Excellent organizational and management skills
  • Excellent people skills
  • Experience and desire to work with and mentor others in Christian leadership
  • Comfortable presenting to and leading groups of people
  • Warm, friendly, good conversational skills
  • Very organized and detail oriented
  • Able to articulate COM’s mission
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Has a good awareness of self
  • Ability and desire to be in a work environment that values working as a team, relationships and giving and receiving honest feedback.
  • Open to some remote work
  • At least a 3 month commitment

Compensation:

Although this is strictly a volunteer position, meal and travel stipend is available
